The FBI has dealt a major blow to Hamas’ online fundraising network, seizing more than $560,000 in cryptocurrency and taking control of servers and internet domains used by Hamas’ military wing. The operation also gave investigators information on thousands of people worldwide who contacted Hamas, donated money or attempted to donate, using cryptocurrency or conventional payment methods. The Justice Department says the information will be used in future terror-financing investigations.
