A personal call from the Gerrer Rebbe urging his chassidim to vote for United Torah Judaism is set to appear in Sunday’s Hamodia, amid weeks of tension between Gur and Degel HaTorah. “Now that the elections are approaching, I ask all our chassidim to vote for the United Torah Judaism and Shabbos list, whose letter is Gimmel, Agudas Yisrael,” the Rebbe’s message says. “It concludes with a tefillah: ‘May Hashem help that this will add to kevod Shamayim.’”
