The IDF has launched a surprise General Staff exercise, “Breaking Dawn 2.0,” under Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir to test readiness for a sudden, large-scale multi-front scenario. The drill is testing IDF headquarters, standby and reserve forces, decision-making and operational responses across commands, branches and directorates. Commanders have been called up and forces mobilized, with Zamir overseeing the exercise from the Supreme Command Post and in the field.
