The IAEA Board of Governors has voted to refer Iran’s nuclear file back to the UN Security Council over Tehran’s alleged failure to meet its nuclear non-proliferation obligations.
The resolution, drafted by the U.S., UK, France and Germany, passed with 23 countries in favor, three against and eight abstentions. Russia, China and Niger opposed the measure, while Iran condemned it as “biased” and “political.”
