Canada’s retaliatory tariffs against the United States officially took effect Tuesday, targeting roughly $20 billion worth of American goods in response to President Trump’s tariffs on Canadian products.
The new duties range from 15% to 50% and cover hundreds of products, including steel, aluminum, cheese, appliances, clothing, cosmetics and farm equipment. U.S. steel and other designated metal products face the highest 50% tariff.
