Balad chairman Sami Abu Shehadeh has withdrawn from the October 27 Knesset election after all nine High Court justices urged him to step aside, with a majority indicating they would uphold his disqualification. The Times of Israel reports.
Abu Shehadeh was disqualified over an article published after the October 7 massacre that the attorney general argued constituted support for armed struggle against Israel. He will remain Balad chairman.
