Türkiye Nuclear Energy Inc. and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency have signed a grant agreement in New York to study the potential deployment of American small modular reactors and fourth-generation nuclear technology in Türkiye. The agreement does not fund construction of nuclear reactors. Instead, it will finance assessments of U.S. reactor designs for their technical, economic, regulatory and licensing viability in Türkiye, potentially paving the way for future commercial projects involving American nuclear companies.
