The Trump administration has authorized or pledged at least $410 million across 31 countries to expand its third-country deportation network, The Washington Post reports. More than 25,000 migrants have been deported to 28 countries through the program.
The funding includes $81 million in direct payments to foreign governments and hundreds of millions more through international organizations. Officials told the Post that some agreements were rushed through with limited oversight.
