Israeli security forces thwarted a weapons smuggling attempt along Israel’s eastern border overnight, seizing 35 weapons and arresting two suspects from Jericho. IDF surveillance identified suspicious activity ahead of the attempted smuggling, prompting IDF, Israel Police and Border Police forces to set up ambushes in the area. More than 30 handguns and two M-16 rifles were seized, and the suspects were transferred for further investigation.
