Brent crude surged above $100 a barrel Wednesday morning for the first time since July, as the latest U.S.-Iran attacks and Houthi strikes on Saudi energy facilities triggered new fears of major disruptions to Middle Eastern oil supplies.
Brent jumped nearly 3% to around $100.72, while U.S. benchmark crude climbed to approximately $95.25 a barrel.
