The U.S. Senate blocked a resolution that would have required the Trump administration to report to Congress on allegations of violence involving Israeli security forces and Israelis in Judea and Samaria. The measure was defeated 51–47. Reuters reports.
The vote largely followed party lines, with Republican Sen. Rand Paul joining Democrats in supporting the resolution, while Democratic Sen. John Fetterman joined Republicans in opposing it. The measure would not have immediately cut U.S. assistance to Israel.
