🇷🇺🇺🇦 - NEWS: Report: Black Sea Now World's Deadliest Shipping Route as More Than 570 Ships Struck This Year
- More than 570 vessels have been struck in the Black Sea so far this year and at least 40 sailors have been killed, the Financial Times reported, citing maritime security firm Ambrey and the International Maritime Organization. That is more than the 24 sailors killed around the Strait of Hormuz over the same period
- About 387 ships were hit between July and September alone, more than four a day, and Ambrey estimates Russia carried out about 90% of the attacks over the past 45 days. On Friday, the cargo ship Khoryv sank after a drone strike off Constanța, Romania, killing one sailor and leaving three missing
