Prime Minister Netanyahu’s attorneys have asked the Yerushalayim District Court to summon former Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit as a defense witness in Netanyahu’s corruption trial. Mandelblit, who served as attorney general when the criminal charges against Netanyahu were filed, would be asked to testify between October 11 and October 22 — potentially placing his testimony just days before Israel’s October 27 election.
