A 46-year-old man accused of going on a violent rampage inside a Reform Temple in Midtown Manhattan last month was arraigned Wednesday on a hate crime indictment. Prosecutors allege Larry Montes damaged ceremonial candleholders, shouted antisemitic slurs, struck a 63-year-old woman in the face and later spat on and headbutted a security guard. He faces multiple hate crime charges, including criminal mischief and assault.
