Leo Terrell, chairman of President Trump’s Justice Department Task Force to Combat Antisemitism, visited Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield, Michigan, on Wednesday evening, launching his nationwide “American Tour Against Hate.” Approximately 500 members of the Jewish community attended the event. President Trump addressed the gathering in a prerecorded video message, praising Terrell’s efforts to combat antisemitism. Terrell vowed that the administration would continue fighting antisemitism and criticized the enormous security costs Jewish communities must pay to protect their shuls, schools, and other institutions.
