The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Izz al-Din Bik, commander of Hamas’ Northern Gaza Brigade, in an overnight airstrike in northern Gaza. Bik took command of the brigade following the elimination of Ahmed Ghandour, after previously serving as its military intelligence chief. According to the IDF, he directed Hamas terrorists in attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops and was involved in rebuilding the brigade’s capabilities after they were severely damaged during the war.
