Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told AP that the Trump administration will sanction another, as-yet unidentified bank this week as part of its effort to crack down on financial transactions with Iran. Bessent, speaking ahead of G20 meetings in North Carolina, said he will press other countries to cut financial ties with Tehran, warning that the U.S. is prepared to use what he called “financial violence” if necessary.
