The Trump administration has declined to invite observers from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to monitor the November 2026 midterm elections, marking the first U.S. federal election without OSCE observers in more than two decades, MS NOW reports. The organization has monitored every U.S. federal election since 2002. Its observers have no enforcement powers and are limited to observing voting procedures and reporting their findings.
