🇶🇦🇺🇸 JUST IN: QATARENERGY SIGNS DEAL TO BUY US LNG THROUGH 2054 - QatarEnergy signed two long-term agreements with US exporter Cheniere Energy to buy up to 4 million tons of American liquefied natural annually through 2054. - 2 million tons a year from Cheniere's Sabine Pass plant in Louisiana, and 2 million from Corpus Christi in Texas. - Deliveries are expected to start in 2031. The deal value was not disclosed. - QatarEnergy says the deal diversifies its global supply and trading portfolio. Bloomberg and Reuters reported in September that Qatar was seeking US LNG after Iranian strikes in March damaged part of its Ras Laffan plant, citing unnamed sources.
