🌧 The National Weather Service is warning of showers and thunderstorms across New York City, northern New Jersey and surrounding areas through midweek, with the first round expected tonight into early Tuesday and additional storms possible Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and evening. Some storms could become severe, especially across western parts of the region, while heavy rainfall may lead to localized flash flooding. The greatest flooding risk is expected Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night. Conditions may remain stormy Thursday before improving Friday
