The IDF is investigating a serious security breach after a Syrian citizen managed to approach an Israeli military position on the Syrian side of the southern Golan Heights without being detected in advance. The man was detained for questioning, and an initial investigation found no indication he intended to carry out an attack. In a separate overnight incident, troops detained two other Syrians near Mount Hermon on suspicion of cross-border smuggling.
