Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar held a trilateral summit in New York today with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz, with the three countries committing to a series of steps to upgrade Israel-Morocco relations.
The measures include upgrading diplomatic missions to embassies and appointing ambassadors, expanding direct flights to include Moroccan airlines within weeks, and completing investment protection and double-taxation agreements by the end of 2026. Israel and Morocco also agreed to hold high-level reciprocal visits in the coming months.
