The United Arab Emirates has agreed to resume funding Yemeni forces fighting the Iran-backed Houthis, marking its return to the conflict after withdrawing support in January, according to The Guardian. Under the agreement, the UAE will restore financial support to forces aligned with Yemen’s internationally recognized government, particularly the UAE-trained Giants Brigades, while Saudi Arabia will provide air cover. The agreement comes amid escalating Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and renewed fighting across Yemen.
