A Chareidi protester arrested in Yerushalayim's Meah Shearim neighborhood on suspicion of throwing a stone at police was freed after his lawyer showed the court video proving he was not the one who threw it. He had been held overnight based on the identification of an officer who said he never lost sight of him. Police had asked the court to extend his detention by five more days, but the footage showed a different person throwing the stone. After watching the video, the police representative withdrew the request and asked for the suspect to be released immediately and without conditions.
