Malicious spyware was found on the phones of two senior staffers in Gadi Eisenkot’s campaign headquarters, according to a report aired Wednesday. In recent weeks, the campaign has been conducting daily scans of phones belonging to a group of staff members, including its most senior officials. The programs discovered were designed to eavesdrop and collect information. Eisenkot himself was not among those affected. Despite the findings, the campaign did not file a police complaint and has instead continued working with a security company that scans senior staffers’ phones daily, alongside additional measures to protect campaign computers.
