Rishon LeTzion HaRav Yitzchak Yosef sharply attacked this morning’s High Court decision to prevent the hilula of his father, HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L. “We don’t need to take them into consideration. I call for 1,000 hilulas for Maran throughout Eretz Yisrael,” he said. “Why don’t they prohibit the Rabin memorial? He was a political figure. Maran was a giant in Torah. We will hold hilulas in every city and every area. Everyone loved Maran. No decision will erase the nation’s love for him.” Rav Yosef also asked the public to send him their names, saying he would daven for them at Maran’s kever.
