Iran’s IRGC Navy claims three oil tankers struck naval mines while attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz through an unauthorized southern route over the past 24 hours, triggering explosions and fires that forced their crews to abandon the vessels. The IRGC said the tankers had disabled their radar and navigation systems and ignored repeated warnings before entering the mined waters. The claims have not been independently verified.
