Israel has issued a tender for another 2,167 housing units in the E1 area near Ma’ale Adumim, bringing the total number of homes currently being advanced there to 3,401, according to the left-wing Israeli organization Ir Amim. The latest tender is scheduled to open for bidding on October 25, two days before Israel’s election. The E1 project has long drawn international opposition because of its location between Yerushalayim and Ma’ale Adumim.
