Tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has expanded to daytime crossings after months of ships largely transiting at night, as U.S. forces widen mine-cleared sections of the main shipping lane, Axios reports. Around 40 ships are now crossing daily under U.S. military protection, carrying roughly 14 million barrels of oil. Saudi shipments have increased amid the fighting with the Houthis in the Red Sea, while several LNG and LPG tankers have also crossed over the past week.
