President Trump told Axios he decided to endorse Prime Minister Netanyahu because Israel needs “a person they can count on,” citing their strong relationship and saying they would “continue to do good things together.” Trump said he always intended to endorse Netanyahu but did not want to announce it too early. “Maybe I can work with someone else and maybe not. Why take a risk?!” he added.
