Vice President JD Vance personally contacted senior U.S. military commanders during the spring and summer for their unfiltered assessments of the Iran war. Commanders warned that critical U.S. munitions were being heavily depleted, with one theater down to fewer than 100 Patriot interceptors by late spring, The New York Times reported.
