Israel and Colombia have agreed to restore full diplomatic and economic relations following the inauguration of Colombia's new president on August 7. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar met with Colombia's incoming Foreign Minister Omar Bula Escobar in Washington, where the two agreed to appoint ambassadors, lift visa requirements, and move forward with opening a Colombian embassy in Jerusalem.
