National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has instructed his Otzma Yehudit campaign to play down his plan to use crocodile-filled moats as an additional security measure around Israeli prisons. According to the report, Ben-Gvir told campaign officials to stop emphasizing the proposal in media appearances, social media and campaign messaging amid concerns that voters view it as a gimmick that is hurting the party politically. The plan had previously been promoted by Ben-Gvir, including a pilot project at Ketziot Prison.
