Former Mossad chief David Barnea revealed that Israel deliberately released footage of Mossad agents operating inside Iran during the 12-day war to trigger mass arrests and make it harder for Iranian authorities to identify actual Israeli agents. Barnea said Iran arrested approximately 21,000 people, creating confusion that led to their release. He revealed that some people executed for alleged Mossad ties had no connection to Israel, while 99.9% of actual Mossad agents remained undetected. Some are still living in Tehran.
