New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is threatening to sue the Trump administration over reports that immigration agents have been using city-owned parking lots as staging areas for enforcement operations. In a letter, he wrote that the practice "is unauthorized and is therefore illegal." According to the letter, agents have used unstaffed city lots at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx and beside Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. Mamdani demanded that ICE bar its agents from using city lots, warning that the city will take legal action if the unauthorized use of the lots continues.
