Arab MK Ahmed Tibi visited Qatar just two days before Israel’s elections, where he recorded an interview with Al Jazeera, raising questions amid a Shin Bet investigation into suspected Qatari election interference. Investigators are examining suspicions that Qatari money was used to illegally boost Arab voter turnout. Meanwhile, Qatar’s former prime minister celebrated the Arab parties winning 19 Knesset seats and personally congratulated Tibi. No evidence currently links Tibi’s visit to the suspected interference.
