As the UK prepares new measures targeting Israel over construction and Israeli activity in Judea and Samaria, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir responded by turning Britain’s own territorial dispute against London. Ben Gvir called on Prime Minister Netanyahu to formally recognize Argentine sovereignty over the Falkland Islands, known in Argentina as the Malvinas, and urged Israel to impose sanctions on Britain for as long as British control of the islands continues. Britain maintains that the Falklands are British and that their residents have the right to determine their own future.
