A federal judge on Tuesday granted the Justice Department’s request to dismiss cases against nine members of the Oath Keepers who were charged in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, Reuters reported. The ruling wipes out convictions against Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and others convicted of seditious conspiracy for plotting to stop the transfer of power following the 2020 election. All nine had already been released under President Trump’s sweeping Jan. 6 pardons and sentence commutations.
