Following Yair Golan’s controversial remarks that eliminating Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was a mistake, Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a sharp response, calling the comments “unbelievable.” Netanyahu described Golan as Gadi Eisenkot’s “designated defense minister,” declaring: “Now it’s clear: Either a strong right-wing government under my leadership or Eisenkot’s defeatist government with Yair Golan and the Arab parties. It’s right-wing or Palestine.”
