President Trump is open to meeting with Iranian officials in New York during the UN General Assembly if conditions are right, as his administration explores whether direct talks could help find a path out of the war, according to CNN. No meeting has been scheduled, and it remains unclear whether Tehran would agree or whether the Iranian officials attending the UN have authorization from Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. A meeting between Iranian officials and senior Trump administration advisers also remains possible.
