The Pentagon is planning a major increase in purchases of PAC-3 MSE and THAAD interceptor missiles in fiscal 2027, seeking roughly 10 times more than in 2026, according to Army budget documents reviewed by Fox News. The Army is seeking 3,655 interceptors as the U.S. moves to rapidly expand missile-defense stockpiles and production capacity. The service has also raised its overall PAC-3 MSE acquisition objective from 3,376 to 13,773 missiles, more than quadrupling the planned total.
