The federal trial of a former Libyan intelligence officer accused of building the bomb used to destroy Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie in 1988 has been postponed after prosecutors turned over new evidence to the defense over the weekend. Abu Agila Mohammad Mas’ud Kheir Al-Marimi was set to face jury selection Wednesday in Washington. Prosecutors accuse him of making the bomb that brought down the flight, killing all 259 people aboard and 11 people on the ground. A judge delayed jury selection and scheduled a status hearing for Sept. 1 while the defense reviews the newly disclosed evidence.
