Multiple sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln have attempted to jump overboard as the crew faces mounting mental health strain during its extended Iran deployment, The Guardian reports. The carrier’s roughly 5,000 sailors and Marines are in their ninth month at sea and have gone a record 250 consecutive days without making land. Families report severe burnout, poor living conditions and shortages of basic supplies. Several suicide attempts have been stopped by watchstanders.
