Dozens of soldiers and officers from the Givati Brigade's Tzabar Battalion reportedly walked off the Sde Teiman base today, leaving their weapons and military equipment behind, after their battalion commander allegedly destroyed the unit's metal "pog" plaques bearing the companies' and platoons' morale slogans. The IDF confirmed that soldiers left the base without authorization after the commander removed signs linked to non-standard "junior-senior" traditions, adding that the incident is under investigation and is inconsistent with IDF values and expected conduct.
