*“WE DID WHAT WE COULD; THE RESULTS ARE IN HASHEM’S HANDS”:* Immediately after the polls closed in Israel, Hagaon HaRav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, Rosh Yeshivas Slabodka, left his home and headed to the yeshiva to immerse himself in Torah learning with his talmidim. On his way, the Rosh Yeshiva refused to hear the election exit poll results, saying they were irrelevant at that moment. “We did what we could. The results are in the hands of Hashem,” he said.
