IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir was briefed on U.S. preparations for a possible renewed offensive against Iran within three weeks, and warned that Iranian missile retaliation could force Israel to postpone its elections, Channel 12 reports. The Pentagon has instructed CENTCOM to complete preparations for a short but powerful joint U.S.-Israeli operation. However, President Trump has since declared that the U.S. will not attack Iran before the November 3 midterm elections.
