Former Congressman George Santos has been permanently banned from prediction market Kalshi, marking the first lifetime ban ever issued by the platform, the Wall Street Journal reports. The move comes after federal regulators accused Santos of making more than $17,000 by betting on whether he would attend President Trump’s State of the Union address. Kalshi also imposed a $71,356 penalty and said Santos did not fully cooperate with its investigation. Santos can appeal the lifetime ban.
