DISGRACEFUL AT COLUMBIA: On October 7, the third anniversary of Hamas’ horrific massacre of Jews, a Columbia University dining station displayed a menu offering “October 7th Blush Sauce” at its pasta station. Blush sauce is already a regular menu item listed by Columbia Dining, with no date attached to its name. Yet on the anniversary of the deadliest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, the words “October 7th” appeared before it. There is no apparent culinary reason for the addition, and whether deliberate or not, the timing is deeply disturbing. Columbia University owes the Jewish community an explanation.
