Somaliland is prepared to provide up to 1,000 soldiers for a planned U.S.-led International Stabilization Force in Gaza if requested by the United States or Israel, President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi said. “If they ask, we can provide,” Abdullahi said, adding that Somaliland is not volunteering troops but would be ready if asked. He said Somaliland has an army of approximately 25,000 soldiers and a coast guard of about 1,500 personnel.
