The U.S. is rolling out fresh sanctions targeting Hezbollah, with the Treasury Department re-designating the terror group as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist in language that explicitly ties it to Iran’s IRGC-Quds Force. According to Reuters, the updated designation states that Hezbollah acts “for service to the Iranian regime under the command of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force.” Washington is also sanctioning 10 people accused of smuggling cash for Hezbollah.
